If Zora Arkus-Duntov is considered the "Father of the Corvette", then his wife Elfi was most certainly Corvette''s First Lady. The National Corvette Museum announced that Elfi Arkus-Duntov passed away on October 23, 2008 at St. John?s Hospital in Detroit. She had been hospitalized there for several weeks with a severe leg infection.
