Back in June when GM Development Engineer Jim Mero drove the 2009 Corvette ZR1 around the Nurburgring in 7:26.4, we wondered out loud what that time could have been if one of Corvette Racing's drivers, particularly Jan Magnussen, had the opportunity to drive the 6.2L Supercharged Corvette around the world's all-important 12.9 mile track. According to several sources, we've learned that on Monday, October 27th, Jan Magnussen drove the Corvette ZR1 to a time of 7:22.4, besting the previous time by 4 seconds!
