Fantastisk historie

En fredag aften for 14 dage siden sad jeg og bladrede i mine papir fra købet af Corvetten. Der faldt jeg over en tidligere amerikansk title, jeg slog ejerens navn op og sendte et brev til ham, bare for sjov! Og se så her :

Dear Thomas:
 
I received you letter yesterday and I didn't want another day to go by without getting in touch with you.
 
What a surprise to see 'my' 1966 vette! 
 
I sold it in about 1985 I think.  I had married for the second time in 1983 and we bought a house and I needed the money.
I guess you could call it a 'forced sale' because I sure didn't want to sell it. 
 
I have this unnatural attachment to vehicles.  I have a '68  long narrow bed Chevy pickup and a 1973 Vette that has been
in the shop for a bit after my son put it under the rear end of a Toyota pickup. I loved the '66 and I am glad she has a
good home.
 
I have a picture or two around and will get them to you soon.   It is like looking at an old friend that has been maimed to
see here her like she is but I know she has a good home
 
 
She had the original 327 when I bought her from and attorney in Longview, not far from here , and also a hard top and no lakers
(sidepipes) or luggage rack.  She was a four speed with a horribly hard clutch that I was getting fixed when I sold he
 
As far as I know the hardtop was factory.

The attorney  is named Wayne Toliver and if you need help in his history of the car I can get in touch with him for you.
 
I sold her to an engineer in Longview.  I think he was a petroleum engineer and I don't have a clue what his name was.

I have a love for corvettes, too.
